GM Hikaru Nakamura won the Bullet Brawl arena on July 11 with a dominant performance of 50 wins, eight draws and 11 losses. He finished with 172 points, 27 ahead of second-place GM Arjun Erigaisi.
Nakamura secured his 12th victory in the weekly event this year after outpacing a field that included GMs Christopher Yoo, Andrew Tang and last week's winner Arjun Erigaisi.
The American grandmaster built an early lead by winning 11 consecutive games at one stage and overcame a loss to Arjun in the opening round. He also defeated Arjun in their final encounter after recovering from a difficult position.
WIM Melika Mohammadi claimed the $100 prize for the best female performer for the second consecutive week. The top four finishers earned $400, $250, $150 and $100 respectively from the $1,000 prize fund.
The next Bullet Brawl is scheduled for July 18 at 12 p.m. ET.
