The National Police Commission found blood traces disproving claims that the victims drowned while fleeing. The three Katingan Police members were killed first before being dumped into the Katingan River.
National Police Commission commissioner Supardi Hamid said findings at the scene on Monday (6/7/2026) showed the victims were finished off by drug dealers. Blood traces ending in the river proved intentional killing.
The National Police gave extraordinary rank promotions to the three Satresnarkoba Katingan Police personnel who died. National Police Public Relations Division head Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir called the award appreciation for their sacrifice.
