A fight over a groomsman eating meatballs with his hands led to a shooting that injured two people at a wedding in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on June 20.
Thomas Redrick Williams, 41, faces charges of two counts of first-degree reckless injury with a dangerous weapon, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and bail jumping.
The incident took place at the Aria banquet hall on 5444 West Fond du Lac Avenue. Police arrived to find a man shot in the neck and a woman wounded in the arm and leg. The female victim, the bride's cousin, told officers she had confronted the groomsman about his table manners in the kitchen.
Witnesses identified Williams, a friend of the groomsman, as the shooter. The bride, who knew him as "Boog," said she saw him leave the kitchen with a gun and later took his SUV key fob to stop him fleeing. Three witnesses picked him out in a photo lineup. A 9 mm handgun was later recovered from the vehicle, which belonged to Williams' wife.
As of June 28, Williams had not been arrested.
