Modo has added Bryan Yoon to its roster as its first-choice defenseman ahead of the 2026-27 season. Sport chief Henrik Gradin described the 28-year-old from Colorado as a strong two-way player with good skating ability.
Bryan Yoon is the latest signing presented by Modo. He is expected to play a significant role in the team next season.
Gradin compared Yoon to Paul LaDue, a player he previously brought in. He noted that Yoon shows offensive tendencies but is not as large or powerful as some other defensemen.
Experts and rival sport chiefs have drawn comparisons to Peter DiLiberatore, who was named the best defenseman in HockeyAllsvenskan for the 2025-26 season. Gradin said Yoon can function well as a top-pair player.
The defensive group now includes Elias Rosén, Victor Bergliund, August Berg, Hugo Hallin, Oskar Wahlberg and Peder Kyrkjeeide Ösversveen. Modo will not add further defensemen before August.
The club still needs three forwards, including one center. Options for that position include Måns Carlsson, Carl Mattsson and young prospect Milan Sundström.
