Coffeez Inc. will introduce its Duomo the Sifter device at an upcoming industry event. The tool aims to simplify the removal of fines and boulders from ground coffee. A full commercial launch is set for later this summer.
The sifter uses a rotating mechanism to separate coffee particles by size in under 20 seconds with no waste. It features modular mesh screens ranging from 100 to 1,500 microns.
Jeff Kim Dong Wan, founder of Coffeez Inc., said the device addresses limitations of traditional sifters, including manual effort and trapped grounds. He added that it enables particle layering for custom extraction beds.
The company plans to preview the product at World of Coffee Brussels from 25 to 27 June 2026. The global launch follows at the end of July 2026.
Sifting has gained attention for improving flavor clarity and consistency in filter coffee brews, though it has remained limited to competitions due to practicality issues.
