Police have named the leader of Padepokan Padang Ati in Pekalongan a suspect in alleged abuse cases dating back to 2008.
Pekalongan City Police detained Abdul Khalim Fadlun after questioning on 27 May 2026. Six female students aged 17 to 25 have filed reports as victims.
Crime Investigation Unit chief AKP Setiyanto said the alleged abuse spanned 17 years. Police opened a reporting post as the number of potential victims is said to exceed 25.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs confirmed the institution is a padepokan not registered as a pesantren. A group from Yakuza Mangenes visited the site on 27 May ahead of the arrest.
