Forslag til amerikansk lov kan true Mercedes' forretning

Amerikanske lovgivere undersøger et lovforslag, der vil udelukke bilproducenter med bånd til fremmede fjendtlige stater fra det amerikanske marked. Dette kan skade Mercedes' forretning, da virksomheden har delvist kinesisk ejerskab.

Bestemmelsen er en del af en bredere lovpakke for bilindustrien. Den blev vedtaget i et centralt udvalg i Repræsentanternes Hus i USA i sidste uge. Den ville forbyde salg eller produktion af køretøjer i USA for virksomheder, der er mindst 15 procent ejet af stater eller aktører fra fremmede fjendtlige stater såsom Kina.

Lovudkastet er endnu ikke vedtaget. Det skal først sammenlægges med andre transportpolitiske lovforslag, før Repræsentanternes Hus stemmer om det. Senatet ville derefter også skulle godkende det.

Mercedes, en traditionel tysk luksusbilproducent, kan ikke desto mindre blive berørt. Tiltaget har til formål at begrænse kinesisk indflydelse i den amerikanske bilindustri.
