Sektori developer pays self living salary after switch 2 success

Solo creator Kimmo Lahtinen has recouped a living wage from Sektori following its Nintendo Switch 2 release last week. The Geometry Wars-inspired shooter reached about 30,000 total sales after launching on the new console.

Kimmo Lahtinen, a former 13-year veteran of Housemarque, shared the update on Bluesky. The game first launched on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in November 2026. At that time Lahtinen noted only indirect costs had been covered after four and a half years of work, leaving zero personal salary.
