Sithembiso Ngema has been elected as the new provincial leader of the Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal.

Sithembiso Ngema has been elected as the new provincial leader of the Democratic Alliance in KwaZulu-Natal at the party’s provincial congress held in Durban.

Ngema replaces the outgoing leader Francois Rodgers. He previously served as deputy provincial leader and as a DA member of the eThekwini Municipality. Ngema was sworn in as a member of the KwaZulu-Natal legislature on 28 September 2023.

Dean Macpherson was re-elected as provincial chairperson. Martin Meyer was elected as deputy provincial leader. The party also elected Sandile Mnikathi as first deputy chairperson, Sakhile Mngadi as second deputy chairperson, and Swelakhe Shelembe as third deputy chairperson.
