SSAB indstiller alt arbejde i Luleå efter tre sygdomstilfælde

SSAB har indstillet alt arbejde på byggeriet af deres nye stålværk i Luleå, efter at tre personer har søgt lægehjælp grundet mistanke om eksponering for giftig gas. Tidligere undersøgelser afslørede forhøjede niveauer i maskinkabiner, og nye tilfælde blev rapporteret langfredag. Region Norrbotten bekræfter, at to af de berørte stadig er på skadestuen.

SSAB havde tidligere indstillet arbejdet på en del af byggepladsen i Luleå, efter at medarbejdere rapporterede om kvalme og hovedpine. Torsdag bekræftede testresultater forhøjede niveauer af giftig gas i kabinerne på maskinerne ved det nye stålværksområde.

Langfredag blev et nyt tilfælde rapporteret, som involverede en person, der arbejdede uden for den tidligere spærrede zone, hvilket fik SSAB til at suspendere alt arbejde på projektet.

Omkring kl. 22:00 meddelte Region Norrbotten, at der var to yderligere tilfælde. Den første berørte person er blevet udskrevet fra hospitalet, mens de to seneste stadig befinder sig på skadestuen, oplyser regionen.
