Talanx opkøber det mexicanske forsikringsselskab Afirme Seguros

Forsikringskoncernen Talanx har opkøbt det mexicanske forsikringsselskab Afirme Seguros, hvilket markant udvider selskabets aktiviteter i landet. Samtidig får virksomheden 20 års eksklusiv adgang til bankgruppen Afirmes filialnetværk.

Talanx, med hovedsæde i Hannover, har opkøbt Afirme Seguros, der er en del af bankgruppen Afirme Grupo Financiero. Købsprisen er ikke blevet offentliggjort, men vurderes i finansielle kredse til at ligge på omkring 200 millioner euro. Handlen øger præmievolumen for Talanx-datterselskabet HDI Seguros Mexico med mere end halvdelen.

HDI Seguros Mexico rykker med opkøbet op på en sjetteplads inden for tingskadeforsikring og en femteplads inden for bilforsikring i Mexico. Datterselskabet har været aktivt i landet siden 2009 og genererede en præmievolumen på 704 millioner euro i 2025 med omkring 1800 ansatte.

Afirme Seguros tilføjer yderligere 960 medarbejdere og 372 millioner euro i præmieindtægter. Talanx-bestyrelsesmedlem Wilm Langenbach beskrev partnerskabet som en vigtig milepæl på vejen mod at blive en af de fem største aktører på det mexicanske marked for tingskade- og ansvarsforsikring.
