Schwarz Group har investeret 500 millioner euro i Cohere, en canadisk AI-specialist fra Toronto. Som en del af aftalen bliver Aleph Alpha, en AI-virksomhed fra Heidelberg, en del af Cohere. Begge firmaer positionerer sig som alternativer til amerikanske tech-giganter. FUSIONEN er betydningsfuld for regeringerne i Tyskland og Canada i den globale konkurrence om kunstig intelligens. Den sigter mod at mindske Tysklands afhængighed af amerikanske udbydere. Schwarz Group forfølger et andet mål med investeringen, som ikke er blevet specificeret yderligere. Lokationer som Berlin og Düsseldorf nævnes i forbindelse med aftalen, mens Aleph Alpha har base i Heidelberg og Cohere i Toronto.
