Black Semiconductor påbegynder opførelsen af chipproduktion i Aachen

Start-up virksomheden Black Semiconductor er gået i gang med at bygge sin egen chipfabrik i Aachen. Det er første gang, en ung virksomhed tager dette skridt i Tyskland.

Daniel Schall, direktør og medstifter af Black Semiconductor, udtalte, at virksomheden forventer at stå med de første wafers ved årets udgang, hvis alt går efter planen.

Arbejdere rykkede ind i foråret for at omdanne en tidligere elbilfabrik til et renrum.

Andre chipvirksomheder som Infineon og TSMC er i øjeblikket ved at bygge fabrikker i Dresden. De fleste succesfulde halvledervirksomheder afstår fra egen produktion.
