TSMC opruster ansættelser til chipproduktion i Dresden

Den taiwanske chipproducent TSMC sætter fart på ansættelserne til deres nye fabrik i Dresden, efterhånden som byggeriet skrider frem.

Fabrikschef Christian Koitzsch fortalte Handelsblatt, at ansættelsesprocessen nu for alvor er gået i gang. TSMC har i øjeblikket omkring 100 ansatte i Dresden, hvoraf 40 er fra Taiwan. Målet er 2.000 medarbejdere, når alle maskiner er installeret.

Projektet European Semiconductor Manufacturing Company til 10 milliarder euro støttes af partnere som Bosch og modtager halvdelen af sin finansiering fra statslige tilskud. Det har til formål at mindske Europas afhængighed af udenlandske chipproducenter. Produktionen er planlagt til at starte i slutningen af 2027.

På byggepladsen nær Dresdens lufthavn arbejder 1.200 folk i øjeblikket. Antallet vil stige til over 5.000 til sommer. Indretningen af de tilstødende kontorer er allerede påbegyndt.
