The Fall announces final album for September release

The English post-punk band The Fall will release its final album Post Script in mid-September on Cog Sinister Records. A lead single titled 30 Degrees is available now.

Eight years after the death of frontman Mark E. Smith from lung and kidney cancer, the band has confirmed the nine-track project. The album marks the group's first full-length release since New Facts Emerge in 2017.

The track 30 Degrees was co-written by Smith along with Simon Archer and Ed Blaney in Salford, England. Additional songs on the record include So Long, Colonel’s Retreat, and The Book.

The Fall also issued a box set of live performances in 2018 and a live album in 2021. A related book titled Excavate! The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall appeared the same year.
