イギリスのポストパンクバンド、The Fallが、9月中旬にCog Sinister Recordsからラストアルバム『Post Script』をリリースする。先行シングル「30 Degrees」が現在配信中である。
フロントマンであるMark E. Smithが肺がんと腎臓がんにより死去してから8年、バンドは全9曲からなる本作のリリースを正式に発表した。同アルバムは、2017年の『New Facts Emerge』以来となるグループ初のフルアルバムとなる。
「30 Degrees」は、Smithがイギリスのサルフォードにて、Simon ArcherおよびEd Blaneyと共同で作曲した楽曲である。アルバムには、その他「So Long」「Colonel’s Retreat」「The Book」などが収録される。
The Fallは2018年にライブ音源のボックスセットを、2021年にはライブアルバムをリリースしている。また、同年には関連書籍『Excavate! The Wonderful and Frightening World of the Fall』も出版された。
