The Macallan partners with Handshake Speakeasy for cocktails in Bogotá

The Macallan whisky brand announced a partnership with Handshake Speakeasy bar to create exclusive cocktail experiences across Latin America. Colombia hosts a key event on March 26 at Boulevardier in Bogotá.

The Macallan whisky brand has formed a strategic partnership with Handshake Speakeasy, one of the world's most prestigious bars. The goal is to develop exclusive experiences that redefine single malt's role in contemporary Latin American cocktail culture, as announced recently by the company. The collaboration features innovative author cocktails drawing on local ingredients and The Macallan's sensory complexity. A guest bartending program will send Handshake mixologists to various Latin American countries. The tour began in São Paulo, Brazil, and will continue in Mexico and other markets. In Colombia, the main event is set for March 26 at Boulevardier, a speakeasy-style bar in Bogotá's Four Seasons Casa Medina. The venue channels 1920s aesthetics with jazz, classic elegance, and high-end cocktails. Ramón Cardona, The Macallan ambassador for Colombia, stated: “We believe single malt can claim a new space in author cocktail culture. The whisky's depth of flavor and sensory complexity provide an exceptional base for sophisticated creations, like those defining Handshake. This partnership lets us show how The Macallan integrates into contemporary recipes without losing its identity, raising cocktail standards in Latin America and now Colombia.” The initiative also includes educational sessions and immersive spaces to build whisky culture.
