Chef for Thüringens forfatningsbeskyttelse kritiserer planer om udvidelse af efterretningstjenesten

Stephan Kramer, præsident for Thüringens kontor for forfatningsbeskyttelse, har skarpt afvist krav om udvidede beføjelser til den indenrigspolitiske efterretningstjeneste.

Kramer svarede på forslag fra præsidenten for det føderale kontor for forfatningsbeskyttelse, Sinan Selen, og den føderale indenrigsminister Alexander Dobrindt. Han understregede, at agenturet bør forblive en efterretningstjeneste og ikke modtage udøvende beføjelser.

“Det gentagne krav om at transformere og udvide kontoret for forfatningsbeskyttelse til en rigtig hemmelig tjeneste irriterer mig i stigende grad og bekymrer mig,” sagde Kramer til RedaktionsNetzwerk Deutschland. Han advarede mod at sammenblande opgaver med politiet og et potentielt tab af offentlighedens tillid.

Kramer anerkendte behovet for reformer inden for cyberforsvar, men afviste aktive modforanstaltninger fra agenturets side. Dobrindt havde i starten af maj annonceret en reform, der skal forvandle tjenesterne til en rigtig hemmelig tjeneste.
