Told Slant, the solo project of Felix Walworth from Florist, will release a new album titled What's Up on September 4.
The record marks the first full-length project from the artist since Point the Flashlight and Walk in 2020. It arrives via Mtn. Laurel Recording Co. Walworth also shared the new song Manhattan on July 7.
In a statement, Walworth described What's Up as their New York record. They explained that it explores dedication to self-expression and subculture in one of the most hostile environments on Earth. Walworth performed drums, bass, and guitar on the album.
Additional contributors include Hannah Pruzinsky, Jonnie Baker, Ceci Sturman, Helen Ballentine of Skullcrusher, Emily Sprague, Mari Rubio, and Elijah Wolf. Told Slant has scheduled three United Kingdom shows for November to support the release.
