In the ongoing Syekh Ahmad Al Misry santri harassment case, Ustaz Ahmad Hifzhillah shared a WhatsApp chat screenshot with the accused preacher on Instagram, surprising many as others had struggled to reach him. Hifzhillah sought clarification on allegations but opted not to pursue further.
On April 28, 2026, Ustaz Ahmad Hifzhillah posted a screenshot of his WhatsApp exchange with Syekh Ahmad Al Misry (SAM) on Instagram. In the caption, he explained: "Barusan japri ke SAM. Nggak tau kenapa hati kecil ada rasa dorongan pengen tabayyun ke beliau. Menurut temen gimana? Perlu atau tidak?" (Just messaged SAM. Not sure why, but I felt compelled to seek clarification. Friends, should I?)
He later added: "Tapi kayanya nggak perlu ya, karena sudah ada Asatidz dan lainnya yang lebih berkepentingan serta kompeten dalam menangani kasus tersebut." (But probably not needed, as other asatidz and more qualified parties are handling it.)
In the chat, Hifzhillah asked about SAM's well-being, receiving a simple reply: "Waslam wr wb, Alhamdulillah sehat." (Wa'alaikumussalam wr wb, Alhamdulillah, healthy.)
Netizens reacted with surprise: "Nah loh kok kemarin para asatidz menghubungi beliau gak direspon, kok antum bisa dibalas?" (Why didn't other asatidz get replies yesterday, but you did?)
Ustaz Muhammad Fakhrurrazi Anshar commented, asking for SAM's contact to advise him: "Minta nomornya akhiii japri yah. Mau menasehati sesama muslim. Terkhusus agar bertanggung jawab saja. Dan jika beliau merasa benar silahkan dihadapi." (Share the number, bro, to advise a fellow Muslim. Especially to take responsibility. If he thinks he's right, face it.)
This comes amid the case where Bareskrim Polri named SAM a suspect on April 24, 2026, following a police report from November 28, 2025. SAM has been in Egypt since mid-March 2026 accompanying his mother for surgery and denies fleeing or wrongdoing, as previously stated.
