Three bulls by El Capea and three by Carmen Lorenzo —first, fifth, and sixth— were fought, all properly presented for rejoneo, noble with great class and temperament.
Andy Cartagena, on the first and fourth, placed banderillas easily and showed a spectacular style with turns and violin banderillas. He earned one ear for a rear rejón in the first and two ears for a high rejón causing hemorrhage in the fourth, despite a horse injured during banderillas. He was carried out on shoulders through the Puerta del Príncipe, the first of the fair.
Guillermo Hermoso de Mendoza shone in the third with classic close-range bullfighting and tight turns on Jíbaro, and in the sixth with hermosinas on Berlín, cutting one ear each despite a jab before the final rejón that prevented a second trophy.
Lea Vicens handled the second and fifth with firmness and precision, though at a distance from the bull. She cut one ear in the second with a high rejón and hemorrhage, and took a lap after steel failures in the fifth.
