British Open Championship erhält für 2026 bedeutende Formatänderung

Die British Open Championship 2026 wird eine bedeutende Formatänderung sowie eine Verfünffachung des Preisgeldes für den Sieger erfahren, nachdem die Veranstalter auf das Feedback der Reiter reagiert haben. Die Veranstaltung kehrt vom 11. bis zum 16. August an die Hartpury University und das Hartpury College zurück.

Die NAF Hartpury International Celebration of Eventing wird die British Open Championship auf das FEI-Vier-Sterne-Niveau anheben. Sie wird nun im Rahmen des NAF CCI4*-S ausgetragen, wodurch sichergestellt wird, dass der nationale Titel auf derselben Strecke und unter derselben Aufmerksamkeit wie der internationale Wettbewerb entschieden wird. Der Gesamtsieger des CCI4*-S wird, sofern teilnahmeberechtigt, zum British Open Champion gekürt.
