Experts forecast fewer mosquitoes and slugs in Örebro County

Winter and spring in Örebro County have been unusually dry. This leads to expectations of fewer mosquitoes and killer slugs during the summer.

Örebro County has had less precipitation than normal during winter and spring. Experts link the dry weather to reduced population growth among insects and slugs.

Anders Lindström, mosquito expert and senior researcher at SVA, comments on the situation. He says that most have already had their chance to hatch eggs.

The information comes from a report in Nerikes Allehanda that describes the effects of the dry climate on local species.
