Modo gab die Trennung am Montag bekannt, nachdem Andersson als Assistenztrainer und später nach der Entlassung von Mattias Karlin als Cheftrainer tätig war. Als Grund für seinen Abschied nannte der Verein das Fehlen einer passenden Rolle im neuen Trainerstab, dem Morten Madsen und Mikael Karlberg angehören.
