Sony announced it will stop manufacturing physical discs for all new PlayStation games starting January 2028. New titles will be available only in digital formats through the PlayStation Store and retailers. The move has sparked widespread online criticism from fans.

Multiplayer servers for Battlefield Hardline on Xbox and PlayStation will shut down permanently on June 22. EA announced the closure earlier this year as part of a two-stage process. The single-player campaign will remain available after the servers go offline.
