Man dies in motorcycle accident outside Oskarshamn

A man in his mid-20s has died in a motorcycle accident on county road 711 at Kristdala northwest of Oskarshamn.

Police were called to the scene shortly after 6:30 pm on Tuesday. The man had driven off the road on his motorcycle and died from his injuries.

The motorcycle and the surrounding terrain caught fire in connection with the crash. Police have seized the motorcycle for technical examination.

– We have taken the motorcycle into custody, we have a technical examination. Then we will see if anything could have been captured on road cameras or if someone may have made an observation during his trip earlier, says police spokesperson Jakob Palmgren to TT.

Police are now investigating the cause of the accident.
