Missouri woman charged after kicking boy into hotel pool

A Missouri woman faces child abuse charges after police say she kicked a 7-year-old boy who cannot swim into the deep end of a hotel pool in Sedalia.

Penny Badgett, 63, is accused of pushing the boy into 5-and-a-half feet of water at an indoor pool on Saturday. Court documents state she had no prior contact with the child and acted because she believed he was being mean to another child. The boy told relatives he was scared after the incident.
