Samsung announces new Wi-Fi speakers and soundbars ahead of CES 2026

Samsung has revealed two new Wi-Fi speakers and updated soundbars as part of its 2026 audio lineup, set to debut at CES in Las Vegas. The Music Studio 5 and 7 speakers feature minimalist designs and AI-enhanced audio, while the HW-Q990H and HW-QS90H soundbars offer advanced Dolby Atmos capabilities. These products aim to blend high-quality sound with seamless integration into home decor.

Samsung is expanding its audio offerings with the introduction of the Music Studio 5 (LS50H) and Music Studio 7 (LS70H) Wi-Fi speakers, designed by Erwan Bouroullec to blend into living room aesthetics with a minimalist, gallery-inspired look. The smaller Music Studio 5 includes a four-inch woofer, dual tweeters, and a built-in waveguide for improved sound delivery. It incorporates Samsung's AI Dynamic Bass Control to enhance bass without distortion and supports voice or Bluetooth control, along with Wi-Fi casting and streaming services.

The larger Music Studio 7 provides a 3.1.1-channel spatial audio experience with top-, front-, left-, and right-firing speakers for immersive 3D sound. It features the same AI Dynamic Bass Control and Samsung Audio Lab Pattern Control Technology for sound calibration, supporting Hi-Resolution Audio up to 24-bit/96kHz processing. This speaker can function standalone or pair with other Samsung Wi-Fi speakers, soundbars, or TVs, and includes Bluetooth connectivity. Both speakers offer Dolby Atmos compatibility on the larger model.

Complementing these are updates to Samsung's soundbars. The flagship HW-Q990H is an 11.1.4-channel Dolby Atmos system with surrounds and a dual 8-inch wireless subwoofer. New additions include Sound Elevation, which makes dialogue more natural by lifting it toward the screen center, and Auto Volume for consistent sound levels across channels.

The HW-QS90H, dubbed the All-in-One Soundbar, features a 7.1.2-channel setup with 13 drivers, including nine wide-range speakers and a built-in Quad Bass Woofer for deep bass without a separate subwoofer. Its Convertible Fit design allows for wall mounting or tabletop placement, with a gyro sensor that automatically adjusts channel distribution based on orientation.

All products will be showcased at CES 2026, held in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9. Availability details remain unannounced, but the lineup builds on Samsung's history of high-end audio from the Samsung Audio Lab.
