Swedish fans have gathered at Houston Heights Hotel to celebrate Midsummer with a maypole, songs and pool bathing. Supporter Alexander Styverts laid out herring and snaps.

– It is Midsummer, you have to celebrate wherever you are, says Styverts.

Coach Graham Potter announced that defender Eric Smith will miss the match against the Netherlands on Midsummer's Day at 19.00.

– The match is a little too close in time, says Potter. He believes Smith will be back next week.

Sweden comes from a 5–1 victory against Tunisia and faces the Netherlands at Houston Stadium.
