Threads users cannot block meta ai chatbot

Meta has begun testing a new AI chatbot on Threads that users are unable to block or opt out of, sparking widespread frustration across the platform. The public-facing account has drawn angry replies and become the top trend with over a million posts. Testing is currently limited to a handful of countries.

Meta announced the early beta test of its Threads AI chatbot yesterday. The feature mimics Grok on X and is initially available only in Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Argentina and Singapore. Despite the limited rollout, the @meta.ai account is visible to all users on the platform.
