Ammar Zoni returns to Nusakambangan with trauma and tears

Ammar Zoni has been returned to Nusakambangan prison without official notice to his family or lawyers. Lawyer Krisna Murti said the actor suffered severe trauma and cried after the transfer.

The sudden transfer occurred after Ammar Zoni had been held elsewhere. Lawyer Krisna Murti stated that he and the family only learned of the move through media reports on 10 May 2026.

Murti said Ammar cried out of fear of returning to Nusakambangan, which he found terrifying. Doctor Kamelia also received a direct message from Ammar requesting not to be sent back.

The legal team will send a letter to the Directorate General of Corrections seeking clarification on Ammar’s high-risk classification. His case record has mainly involved drug use rather than large-scale dealing.
