Charli XCX has released a new track titled 'I Keep On Thinking Bout You Every Single Day and Night' as the B-side to her single 'Rock Music'. The song, available only on vinyl and her Instagram side account, explores themes of obsession and fleeting thoughts about sexuality.
The track was announced on Saturday, May 8, via Charli XCX's @b.sides Instagram account. It follows the debut of 'Rock Music' on Thursday at midnight. The artist described shooting a black-and-white video in Kyoto, Japan, over six weeks while working on a film project with collaborator Aidan. The minimalist song runs 1:32 and features lyrics pondering identity, including lines about possibly being gay and wondering about a muse's orientation. Charli XCX, who is married to George Daniel of The 1975, posted that fans could rip the audio since it is not on streaming platforms. The 'Rock Music' 7-inch vinyl sold out quickly on her webstore, with limited copies available at select record stores in the U.S., U.K., and France.
