Pakistan Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met Xi Jinping in Beijing on Monday to discuss US-Iran peace efforts.
The meeting marked the 75th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. Xi said China appreciates Pakistan’s proactive role in mediating peace in the Middle East.
Both sides pledged to maintain close communication to promote peace and stability in the Middle East. Shehbaz Sharif told his hosts that mediation efforts are moving in the right direction.
Xi added that the two sides should promote an equitable and orderly multipolar world.
