El Malilla opens taquería Los Pacientes in Mexico City

Reggaeton singer El Malilla, whose real name is Fernando Hernández Flores, has opened his first taquería named Los Pacientes in Mexico City. The business offers a variety of tacos, quesadillas, and drinks, with affordable prices ranging from 35 to 165 pesos. The artist described the project as a dream come true in partnership with associates.

Fernando Hernández Flores, artistically known as El Malilla and performer of tracks like ‘B de Bellako’, announced the opening of Los Pacientes through a video on his social media. In the clip, he shared his excitement about bringing to life a project he had kept secret for a long time. “It’s very nice news that I obviously had been working on and hiding for quite some time. Today that it’s something material, it excites me too much”, the singer commented.

El Malilla clarified that he is not the sole owner of the establishment but a partner with other investors who supported him, as he lacks experience in the restaurant sector. “Obviously the almost boss, because I’m a partner. I ventured with them, because I’m new in this matter”, he explained. He also highlighted his passion for music, football, and food, and promised honesty with his followers: if the taco quality drops, he will take action.

The venue features an industrial design with plastered walls, white ceiling, metallic tables, and green chairs. It has an open kitchen allowing views of dish preparation and a beverage station at the back. There is no outdoor seating area, but plants at the entrance add freshness.

The menu includes starters like house beans for 55 pesos and cheese chicharrón for 75 pesos; steam or charcoal tacos with proteins such as sirloin for 58 pesos or birria for 48 pesos; and quesadillas at 125 pesos, like quesabirria. Desserts cost 65 pesos, while alcoholic drinks range from 120 to 165 pesos and non-alcoholic ones, 55 pesos. The average spend per person, with two tacos, a drink, and a starter, ranges between 300 and 380 pesos.

Los Pacientes is located on Doctor J. Navarro street, Doctores neighborhood, Cuauhtémoc borough. It operates Tuesday to Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
