ERL launches first womenswear line for Spring 2027

Designer Eli Russell Linnetz introduced womenswear to his ERL brand with a Spring 2027 ready-to-wear collection. The line draws from a fictional story set on Martha’s Vineyard.

Linnetz built the collection around a narrative of an unexpected visit to cousins who had moved away, resulting in a weekend spent with a new family. The designs mix prep-inspired elements such as madras prints, argyle sweaters, and faded polo shirts with brighter colors and sheer fabrics.

Womenswear pieces include translucent nighties, chiffon slip dresses, and beach cover-ups shown over bikinis. Many items use upcycled materials and light, breezy fabrics. Linnetz said the shapes are simple yet suggestive.

Additional looks feature tailored elements for a mother character, cropped plaid shirts, and playful items like a pom-pom shrug and a wave-print jacket. The presentation took place in Paris.

Linnetz noted his focus on characters and storylines over clothing itself while working on the line from Los Angeles.
