Detuvieron a banda acusada de robar casa de del Potro

Cuatro chilenos y un argentino fueron detenidos por el robo a la vivienda de Juan Martín del Potro en Tandil. La organización ya había cometido asaltos millonarios a deportistas de la NBA y la NFL en Estados Unidos.

El robo ocurrió el 15 de mayo entre las 17 y las 19 en el barrio Don Bosco de Tandil. Los delincuentes rompieron una ventana y sustrajeron dólares, joyas, relojes, raquetas, trofeos y una alianza de oro de la madre del extenista, Elisabet Lucas.

La investigación, a cargo del fiscal Marcos Eguzquiza y la DDI de Azul, identificó un Chevrolet Astra bordó mediante cámaras de seguridad. Una multa de tránsito permitió vincular el vehículo a Ignacio Zuñiga Cortes, quien tiene alerta roja de Interpol, y a su cómplice argentino Walter D’Amelo.

Los arrestos se realizaron el 24 de mayo en la terminal de Retiro y sobre la ruta 7. Bastián Jiménez Freraut, otro integrante con alerta roja, presentaba una herida compatible con sangre hallada en la casa. La banda replicó en Argentina su modus operandi de alquilar autos y estudiar los movimientos de víctimas de alto perfil.
