Elisabeth Moss protagoniza el próximo thriller legal Conviction

Elisabeth Moss encabezará el reparto y será productora ejecutiva en Conviction, un nuevo drama legal adaptado de la novela de 2023 de Jack Jordan. La serie, escrita por David Shore, conocido por House y The Good Doctor, se emitirá en Hulu en EE.UU. y Disney+ en el Reino Unido. David Shore, conocido por crear los dramas médicos House, protagonizada por Hugh Laurie, y The Good Doctor, con Freddie Highmore, ha escrito la adaptación de Conviction. El proyecto se basa en la novela best seller de 2023 de Jack Jordan del mismo nombre.  Elisabeth Moss, reconocida por sus papeles en The Handmaid's Tale, Mad Men, Us de Jordan Peele y The Invisible Man, da vida a la abogada de defensa penal Neve Harper. La sinopsis oficial indica: «La abogada de defensa penal Neve Harper, una letrada segura de sí misma que por fin tiene su oportunidad en un caso que hará carrera: un asesinato mediático en el que el esposo es acusado de matar a su esposa prendiendo fuego a su casa. Pero cuando un misterioso desconocido comienza a chantajear a Neve, se ve forzada a comprometer todas sus obligaciones legales, morales y éticas para lograr una absolución... o arriesgarse a que salgan a la luz sus oscuros secretos.»  Esta es la primera adaptación de una novela de Jordan, aunque sus libros Redemption y Deception también están en desarrollo. Conviction y Redemption fueron incluidas en la lista larga de los Theakston's Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year en 2024 y 2025, respectivamente. Otras obras de Jordan incluyen Anything For Her (2015), My Girl (2016), A Woman Scorned (2018) y el éxito de ventas del Sunday Times de 2022 Do No Harm.  Para Moss, de 43 años, Conviction es su tercera serie en Hulu, tras The Handmaid's Tale y su secuela The Testaments, que se estrena el 8 de abril. Recientemente actuó y produjo la serie de FX The Veil y hará lo propio en el drama de Apple TV Imperfect Women.
