Russia, India, IGAD and the African Union have praised Ethiopia for conducting its seventh general election in a peaceful and democratic manner.
Russia's Foreign Ministry highlighted that the Prosperity Party secured 438 seats in the House of Peoples' Representatives. Observers from the African Union and IGAD confirmed the election proceeded without violations.
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed congratulations to Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed for the victory. IGAD Executive Secretary Workneh Gebeyehu and African Union Commission Chairperson Mahmoud Ali Youssouf also sent congratulatory messages.
Ethiopia's National Election Board demonstrated professional competence, while citizens' active participation contributed to the successful completion of the vote.
