Linux Foundation lanza la Fundación x402 para pagos con IA

La Linux Foundation ha puesto en marcha la Fundación x402 con el objetivo de crear estándares para pagos nativos de internet que involucren agentes de IA, API y aplicaciones. Este esfuerzo se basa en un protocolo aportado por Coinbase.

La nueva fundación pretende establecer protocolos comunes que permitan transacciones fluidas entre sistemas de IA y servicios en línea. Cuenta con el respaldo de importantes empresas tecnológicas y financieras, entre ellas AWS, American Express, Cloudflare, Google, Mastercard, Stripe y Visa. La iniciativa busca responder a la creciente necesidad de mecanismos de pago fiables a medida que las aplicaciones de IA se expanden por toda la red.

Amazon Web Services introduced a new infrastructure on Thursday allowing autonomous AI agents to make payments using stablecoins. The system, called Amazon Bedrock AgentCore Payments, was built in partnership with Coinbase and Stripe. It focuses initially on micropayments for digital services.

The Linux Foundation announced plans to create the Tokenomics Foundation, which will develop open standards for measuring AI token consumption costs. The initiative partners with the FinOps Foundation and has support from twelve major organizations. It will formally launch next week in San Diego.
