Detenida en Portugal la madre de dos niños franceses

Una mujer de 41 años y su pareja fueron detenidos el jueves en Fátima. Son sospechosos de haber abandonado a sus dos hijos franceses de cuatro y cinco años al borde de una carretera en el sur de Portugal.

Los dos niños fueron encontrados el martes por la tarde en la carretera nacional 253, cerca de Alcácer do Sal. Un automovilista que pasaba por la zona los llevó a una panadería local, donde recibieron ayuda.

La madre, que vivía en Colmar, había desaparecido con los niños unos diez días antes. El padre denunció su ausencia y presentó una demanda por secuestro de menores.

Las autoridades portuguesas han abierto diligencias por maltrato, puesta en peligro y abandono. Los niños, examinados en el hospital de Setúbal, se encuentran a salvo y han sido puestos bajo protección de menores.
