El ministro de Hacienda Jorge Quiroz presentó el Informe de Finanzas Públicas del primer trimestre de 2026 y acusó errores en las proyecciones de deuda del gobierno anterior.

El ministro Jorge Quiroz señaló que el informe de febrero del gobierno de Gabriel Boric omitió US$10.500 millones en proyecciones de deuda para el período 2026-2030. Esto habría llevado a subestimar el crecimiento de la deuda bruta.

Quiroz anunció una investigación administrativa para determinar si se trató de un error o de otro tipo de elementos. El Consejo Fiscal Autónomo certificó el cálculo del balance estructural en una reunión sostenida el lunes.

El nuevo informe ajusta el déficit efectivo de 2026 a -2,4% del PIB y proyecta que la deuda alcanzará 46,5% del PIB en 2030. El decreto con las metas fiscales se publicará el 9 de junio.
