Residentes protestan por irregularidades en la asignación de pisos en Chennai

Los residentes de Chitra Nagar en Kotturpuram organizaron un bloqueo de carreteras y una sentada el sábado para protestar por las presuntas irregularidades en la asignación de apartamentos bajo un programa de vivienda de Tamil Nadu.

Más de 1.500 viviendas fueron construidas bajo el esquema por la Junta de Desarrollo del Hábitat Urbano de Tamil Nadu. Los pisos fueron asignados la semana pasada, pero alrededor de 195 familias que han vivido en el área por más de 50 años fueron presuntamente excluidas de la vivienda.
