Un hombre de 21 años de Texas suplicó a los agentes que le permitieran llamar a su madre después de huir de una parada de tráfico y estrellar su vehículo, informaron las autoridades.

Kevin Guerrero fue detenido alrededor de las 2:05 a.m. del domingo en la cuadra 7300 de Doniphan Drive en Canutillo debido a que su matrícula estaba obstruida. Las imágenes de la cámara corporal lo captaron diciéndole a un agente que no estaba bajo los efectos de ninguna sustancia antes de darse a la fuga a toda velocidad.

Guerrero pidió repetidamente llamar a su madre durante el arresto. Enfrenta cargos por evasión de arresto o detención con un vehículo, evasión de arresto o detención y portación ilegal de armas, con una fianza fijada en 37,500 dólares.

El sheriff del condado de El Paso, Oscar Ugarte, anunció los cargos el miércoles.
