Twelve babies born in Kirinyaga County on Christmas Day

Kirinyaga County rejoiced over the birth of 12 babies on Christmas Day. Several mothers shared their joy at delivering on the day marking Jesus Christ's birth. All the infants are reported to be in good health.

Kirinyaga County was filled with celebrations as 12 babies were born on Christmas Day. The mothers involved expressed deep gratitude and happiness for having their children arrive during the global commemoration of the religious holiday.

One of the mothers stated: “It is a blessing and my joy to give birth to a child when the world celebrates the birth of Jesus Christ.” Others interviewed thanked the healthcare professionals for their excellent care. Another mother remarked: “The health workers did well and we are happy.”

The births occurred across various county hospitals, including Kerugoya County Hospital, Kianyaga, ACK Mt Kenya, Mwea Mission, Kiangai, Baricho, and South Ngariama. At Kirinyaga Hospital, the mothers used a modern ward equipped with all necessary facilities for safe deliveries.

Of the newborns, six were boys and the rest girls. County Health Executive Hesbon Gakuo confirmed that all the babies are in good health. This event has added to the peace and joy in the Kirinyaga community during the festive season.
