Florida daycare worker charged with abusing 3-month-old boy

A 26-year-old daycare employee in Panama City has been arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse after she allegedly assaulted an infant in her care. The boy suffered multiple fractures and extensive bruising but is now stable.

LaKayla E. Hamilton faces two counts of aggravated child abuse following the incident at Quality Learning Child Care Center on Wednesday. Authorities said the 3-month-old boy was left with skull fractures, broken ribs, a broken leg and severe bruising on his head and face after Hamilton repeatedly slammed him into his crib and a changing table.
