Sweden secured their World Cup berth with a dramatic 3-2 victory over Poland at the Strawberry Arena. Anthony Elanga and Gustaf Lagerbielke put Sweden ahead in the first half, either side of Nicola Zalewski's equalizer for Poland. Karol Swiderski leveled the score early in the second half, but Gyokeres fired home in the 88th minute to spark jubilation and send Graham Potter's side to Group F alongside Netherlands, Japan and Tunisia. Gyokeres, an Arsenal player, followed up his two semi-final goals against Ukraine with this crucial strike, avoiding extra time. Czech Republic overcame Denmark 4-2 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in regular and extra time. Pavel Sulc scored after three minutes, but Joachim Andersen equalized for Denmark in the 72nd. Ladislav Krejci restored the lead for Czechia in extra time, only for Kasper Hogh to tie it moments later. In the shootout, Denmark's Rasmus Hojlund hit the bar and Mathias Jensen missed, allowing Michal Sadilek to score the decisive penalty. Czechia joins Group A with co-hosts Mexico, South Africa and South Korea. Turkey earned their first World Cup appearance since finishing third in 2002 by beating Kosovo 1-0 away. Kerem Akturkoglu netted early in the second half to secure the win and a spot in Group D with co-hosts USA, Australia and Paraguay.
