A$AP Rocky has partnered with credit card company Bilt to pay January rent for residents of the Harlem building where he grew up. The initiative supports the release of his upcoming album, DON'T BE DUMB. It highlights the rapper's commitment to his roots in New York City.
A$AP Rocky, the influential hip-hop artist, is giving back to his community through a collaboration with Bilt, a loyalty and payments platform. As part of the "Rent Free" campaign, tied to the promotion of his fourth studio album, DON'T BE DUMB, the partnership will cover rent for all tenants in Rocky's childhood building in Harlem for January 2026.
Rocky emphasized the personal significance of the effort. "For me, it’s always been about your community and neighborhood. Harlem made me who I am, from uptown to downtown, and that connection to place is everything," he said. He added that the initiative "hit different" because it goes beyond business to embody true community support. The campaign also includes a limited-edition vinyl of the album, designed by Rocky himself, available exclusively to Bilt members via pre-order on the company's app and website.
Additionally, Rocky appears in a special edition of Bilt's monthly game show, "Rent Free," where participants can win up to $2,500 in rent payments. The top 10 winners receive signed copies of the vinyl, and hundreds more earn bonus Bilt Points.
Bilt's founder and CEO, Ankur Jain, praised Rocky's ties to Harlem. "From joining us at Bilt’s launch to now, his roots in Harlem have always been inseparable from his success, and this limited-edition vinyl is our way of honoring that connection," Jain stated. He described it as a celebration of the community that shaped one of hip-hop's key figures.
The album, DON'T BE DUMB, arrives on January 16, 2026, marking Rocky's first full-length release in nearly eight years. Directed by acclaimed filmmaker Tim Burton, the cover art adds a unique visual element. Reports suggest that Rocky's 2022 track "Riot (Rowdy Pipe’n)" could serve as the lead single, though no official tracklist has been announced.
This partnership underscores Rocky's ongoing dedication to Harlem, blending music promotion with tangible community aid.
