The Development Academy of the Philippines launched its monthlong Bagani training program on Saturday in Quezon City with 50 fellows aged 18 to 30.
The program aims to build skills in management and communication among youth leaders. Fellows will be trained by professors from Ateneo de Manila University and De La Salle University along with officials including Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong and Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto.
Sen. JV Ejercito sponsored the initiative. Civil Service Commission Chair Marilyn Barua-Yap said each fellow is expected to shape governance through their roles.
Fellow Isnihayah Sumndad from Lanao del Sur said the training will help her speak about political dynasties and corruption in her province. Fellow Joshua Echales from Bohol plans to study the situation of residents on sinking islets.
