Baylee Lynn releases new single 'Heard That'

Eighteen-year-old country artist Baylee Lynn has launched her rowdy new single 'Heard That,' a self-assured breakup anthem. The track, accompanied by a lyric video, highlights her bold songwriting and follows her October release 'That's What I'll Be.' Produced by AJ Pruis, it serves as an empowering message for those walking away from undeserving relationships.

Baylee Lynn, an 18-year-old sensation from small-town Tennessee, returns to the country scene with 'Heard That,' her fiercest track to date. Released on January 17, 2026, the riff-heavy song kicks off with blazing guitar and delivers a fiery send-off to a partner who has run out of chances. Lynn's lyrics capture frustration and resolve, as in the lines: "I hate it had to come to this / But I'm tired of givin' and no get / If I said 'Do,' you heard 'Don't' / If I said 'Stay,' you heard 'Go'."

The chorus evokes classic Americana imagery: "I hope you heard that like a tornado comin' / Oklahoma sky and the cows come runnin' / Heard that like a 'Supper's ready' / Mama on the porch / Daddy workin' on the Chevy." Lynn describes the song as embodying 'sass and confidence after a breakup,' noting it was her first written in Nashville. "This one's for the girls who knew their worth and walked away. Hope your exes HEARD THAT!" she said.

Produced by GRAMMY-nominated AJ Pruis, known for work with Megan Moroney and Carly Pearce, 'Heard That' contrasts Lynn's previous bittersweet ballad 'That's What I'll Be,' which appeared on the Nobody Wants This Season 2 soundtrack. The lyric video offers a glimpse into a recent photoshoot, showcasing her charisma.

Lynn, who taught herself guitar at age six and began singing in church, debuted last summer with 'Cautiously Optimistic,' which topped Billboard's new music poll. She will perform 'Heard That' on January 17 at 3rd & Lindsley in Nashville alongside Sarah Buxton and others. Next month, she embarks on a 14-date North American tour with Timmy McKeever and Maddox Batson, hitting venues from Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Minneapolis, Minnesota.
