Björklöven sportchef Per Kenttä has rejected reports linking the club to defenseman Mattias Göransson. The denial comes as the SHL newcomer continues to build its roster ahead of the new season.
Kenttä dismissed the rumors in comments to Västerbottens-Kuriren. "Det stämmer inte alls," he said.
Expressen had reported that Björklöven showed interest in the 28-year-old, who recently ended his contract with Rögle. Kenttä stated the information was incorrect.
The club has already signed eight players since securing promotion to the SHL. The additions include goaltender Lassi Lehtinen from HV71, defensemen Lucas Ekeståhl Jonsson, Topi Niemälä and Alfred Barklund, and forwards Lucas Wallmark, Chris DiDomenico, Tristen Robins and Emil Alba.
Kenttä said the team still seeks two top-four defensemen and two forwards. Further signings depend on cost and availability.
